Chat with Bali Zero on WhatsAppIndonesia's Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency reported that the number of detailed spatial plans, or RDTR, integrated with OSS had risen from 268 to 576 over two years, through mid-October 2026. The number of published RDTR increased from 543 to 691.
The ministry released its update on 23 October, following remarks by Suyus Windayana on 22 October. These are national figures. They do not mean Bali has 576 plans or that every plot on the island is covered.
Integration makes spatial planning information more accessible within the business-licensing system. It is not a blanket approval for a proposed development or a guarantee that every application will finish within a particular number of days.
A plan being published and a plan being connected to OSS are separate milestones in the ministry's figures. For a property decision, the useful check is the current status of the specific location, rather than the national headline.
An investor considering a villa, restaurant or other business site should verify the coordinates, the relevant plan and the proposed use through official spatial-planning and licensing channels. A neighbourhood name or a nearby operating business is not enough evidence to decide whether the proposed project fits that plot.
Ask the project team to create one location file containing:
These are practical due-diligence recommendations. They do not replace the requirements or assessment applicable to an individual project.
A useful internal check is to compare the same location across the commercial proposal, architectural brief and licensing records. If one document describes a residence and another describes tourist accommodation, resolve the difference before treating the file as complete.
Similarly, a broad statement that a district is investment-friendly does not establish the position of one parcel. Ask whoever supplies a zoning conclusion to identify the map, coordinates and official reference supporting it.
For a PT PMA, the corporate structure and the location review answer different questions. Incorporating a company does not, by itself, confirm that a particular site suits the planned activity.
The ministry also reported that proposals to designate sustainable food agricultural land, or LP2B, had reached 87.93% of the rice-field baseline, around 6.45 million hectares, as of 16 October. It compared this with a minimum 87% target under the 2025–2029 national development plan.
Those are reported proposal figures. They should not be read as proof that a final designation or restriction already applies to every individual property. Any parcel-level conclusion needs its own official evidence.
More plans connected to OSS can improve the information available for investment decisions. The next step for a Bali investor is still precise: verify the actual plot and proposed activity, then keep the supporting record with the investment file.
The statement was made on 22 October; the official release followed on 23 October. The story entered the News Room on 26 October 2026 WITA.
