Nuclear Fuel Manufacturing

Producing uranium metal and related compounds from pitchblende or other ores; making uranium alloys, dispersions (including ceramics), ceramic products, and mixtures containing natural uranium or its compounds; refining and purifying uranium metal from uranium ore or other ores containing uranium. This includes enriching uranium and thorium as part of the nuclear fuel production process. Important caveat: nuclear-fuel activities in Indonesia are licensed by BAPETEN (the Nuclear Energy Regulatory Agency) under UU 10/1997 on Nuclear Energy — an entirely separate regime outside OSS/KBLI, so the catalogue's 'open' PMA status is theoretical and no such facility can operate on an NIB alone.
